Ocimum basilicum species. Bulgarian sweet basil essential oil contains low percentages of methyl chavicol where other species, including French and Comores contain up to 88% methyl chavicol (methyl) chavicol is moderately toxic and irritating to the skin. Our Bulgarian basil has a delicate,rounded sweet-spicy aroma and a mild, linalool nature.
Often vaporised by aromatherapy students when studying for exams and they feel in need of revival.
Methods of use: Bath, vaporisation and massage.
Cautions: Do not use in pregnancy - Do not use on sensitive skin.
